Damage or Theft:
It would be unfortunate if something was damaged or stolen while you were here at The Shady Nook. If you are responsible for either, then The Shady Nook has the right to charge your credit card for up to the replacement value of the damaged or stolen article. No amount of money can really replace some piece of art or a keepsake, however, so we would hope that this is not something we should be concerned about.
Please do not lose the keys to our home. If you misplace them and really have lost them, then we hope that you will pay to have a new set made. If you accidentally bring them home then we also hope that you will send them by mail soon after you return.
The Shady Nook accepts Canadian Cash, Cheques and Credit cards.
Our cats, Diamond and Tippy-Leonard are living in our quarters and are allowed to roam the back yard where you can choose to talk to them or shy away from them due to allergies. They are not allowed in the space that you are staying in.
There is adequate parking in our driveway for 4 cars.
The swimming pool has no lifeguard and according to the Public Health Unit there must be a sign stating
“CAUTION. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. THIS POOL IS NOT SUBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ONTARIO REGULATION 565 ——- PUBLIC POOLS.”
We follow these regulations.
